Valentine Gift Set

Hi Everyone:

Anita here with a fun and easy tutorial to make this lovely gift set as a treat for Valentine’s Day.  I love the Hexagon Pop Up Card Valentine Hearts that Lori has which you can find here in Lori’s SVG shop and here in the Silhouette store.  I wanted to build my gift around the card.  Lori has a wonderful tutorial for putting this card together which you can see here.  I used some of Lori’s wonderful Echo Park Paper collections including Perfect Princess and All Girl.

Here is a photo of the materials to make the candy jar.  I painted the pot and the saucer.  I also painted the peg people head.  I stuck a cocktail straw through the holes and suspended the ball over a bathroom cup so that I could get to all sides of the ball.  I used hot glue to adhere the ball to the cover and the glass globe to the bottom of the pot.  I found that two coats of paint covered the pot well.  The best part was that when I was cutting out the parts for the Hexagon card I cut two of the parts that I wanted to put on my pot.  You can make and decorate these as gifts for any time of year using Lori’s wonderful SVG files.

Explosion Box Birthday Cake

Happy New Year Everyone.  Anita here with a post today of a lovely, fun, interactive explosion box that I made for my mother for her birthday.  She loves purple and people are always so happy when I send them Lori’s lovely interactive files.  I’m going to write a note on each pocket tab for her.  You can find the file here:  Explosion Box Birthday Cake 2 (SVG, Silhouette).

Hexagon Pop Up Card Birthday Cake

Hi Everyone:

Anita here with a cute and fun birthday card that I made for my sister-in-law whose birthday is January 1.  I used Lori’s Hexagon Pop Up Card Birthday Cake and you can find the file for that in Lori’s SVG store and here in the Silhouette Design store.  She also has an assembly tutorial on her YouTube Channel here.  I used items from three of Lori’s Echo Park Paper collections including All Girl, All Boy and Lumberjack Christmas.

This card fold flats for mailing and is sure to impress.  Lori has many other hexagon cards in her store and in the Silhouette Store , so be sure to check them out.

Box Card Christmas Sleigh Tutorial

 

Hi Everyone:

Anita here with a fun and easy tutorial to make this adorable Box Card Christmas Sleigh.  You can find the SVG file for this card here in Lori’s store and  here in the Silhouette Design store.  I pieced it together using Lori’s Echo Park line called  A Lumberjack Christmas.

Here are the pieces that you will cut out to make your box card.  Just a note, if you are using two sided paper, then you are going to want to reverse the design of the sleigh part that is in the top left corner.  It goes inside your sleigh on the back piece and you will want it to be the color of your sleigh.

 

Start by gluing the Santa, Santa’s Bag and sleigh embellishments to their base pieces.

First you want to assemble the sleigh.  It is formed using the 2 sleigh shaped pieces and the rectangle piece.  Fold along all the score lines.  Attach the front of the sleigh (the longer piece with the snowflakes ) to the back of the sleigh using the tab.  Then add the rectangle to be the front of the sleigh and glue to both sides to complete your “box”.

 

You then want to add your inserts.  Fold the tabs on all the inserts backward, then add adhesive to the outside of the tab.  Slide them in in order…They are numbered along their glue tabs.  The number one (santa) goes in front.  Slide it in to the sleigh box towards the front of the sleigh, ( about 1/3 of the way into the box) and press the tabs to the sides of the sleigh to adhere.   Next, slide the Santa Bag tab in behind the santa tab about the same distance.  You want the inserts to be approximately equal distance from each other and the sides of the sled.  You are done and have a lovely card which folds flat for mailing.  Thanks for looking and have a great day.

Sympathy Cards

Happy Columbus Day Everyone:

Anita here with a set of sympathy cards that I made for a dear friend who lost her uncle recently and he was a significant person in her life.  I love how elegant these are.  I used Lori’s file called Sympathy Card Thoughts Prayers which you can find here in Lori’s SVG Shop and here in the Silhouette Design store.  The second card is called Sympathy Card Comfort Strength Hope and you can find that one here in Lori’s SVG store and here in the Silhouette Design store.  I used one of Lori’s new Echo Park Paper collections called Our Wedding.  The card file comes with an insert that you can put behind the card front but I liked the colors showing through the designs.

 

Lori has cards for every occasion and in these times when you may be choosing to stay closer to home, you can still keep in touch with your family and friends.
