April Off The Page Challenge: Celebrations!

Hi Everyone, it’s Kathy today with the Lori Whitlock/ Paper Issues   April Off the Page Challenge ! If you recall, an Off the Page project is simply a paper crafting project that is not a traditional scrapbook page. Each month I will be using files from Lori’s SVG shop, for my Off the Page projects over at Paper Issues, and we would love for you to play along too! This month it’s all about Celebrations!  Birthdays, new babies, weddings, or even just because it’s Friday, what ever you’re celebrating we want to see what you’ve made!  Anything that is not a traditional scrapbook page will work! Of course we want you to use Lori Whitlock files for these projects! Here’s what I created as inspiration for the challenge, I used the April Kit of the Month which is available free to anyone who purchases $20 of product (in one transaction) in the Lori Whitlock SVG Shop in the month of March. Just add $20 worth of files in your cart and this kit will automatically be added to your purchase!

And here is my project…

Digital Inspiration with Ashley

This week is Spring Break here for us.  We started the week out by Canyoneering near Zion National Park.  We had a great long adventure. And now it’s documented.  The great thing about digital scrapbooking is the freedom to move and resize items to fit your page and ideas.  I wanted a page with 4×6, 3×4, and 4×4 spots.  I took 2 of Lori’s Templates from Life Templates 4 and Life Templates 6 to make just the right template.  I just selected the top row from the first template and copied to the second template.  Since the location was the same (the top), everything is already lined up.  Then I just deleted the squares from the top row that I didn’t need.

Here’s my completed layout:

Tulip Box Card Tutorial with Courtney

Hello Lori Whitlock fans!!! This is Courtney from Court’s Crafts here with a tutorial on Lori’s new Tulip Box Card! I made this card for upcoming Mother’s Day! I know, I know… I’m a little early but with three kiddos if I am not on top of it then it will never happen!

Step 1: Cut all pieces out with your Cricut Explore or Silhouette Cameo.

Step 2: Emboss green stems and leaves.

Step 3: Lori added the numbers on the tabs for you. This helps in two ways: ordering them from front to back on the card and also the numbers allow you to orient them so you can tell which is the front and which is the back of the piece.

Step 4: Ink around the edges of the green stems and the tulip tops.

Step 5: Using foam adhesive tape, adhere the stems to the green backs.

Step 6: Add the first layer directly to the back of the front of the tulip box card.

Step 7: Using foam adhesive tape pick randomly which tulip tops you want popped and which ones you just glue down.

Step 8: Add your sentiment.

Enjoy your finished product!
